1.0 Introduction
(a) Background of the proposed report - To explore the benefits of the nuclear energy while there are no specific information about it. Furthermore, Malaysia's government is intend to start in generates the electricity by using nuclear energy on 2023. Besides that, it could gain more information by the study in nuclear energy and also takes their own perception about this.
(b) Objectives of the study
Research Objective(s)
Research Question(s)
To get the specification about nuclear energy
What is nuclear energy?
To explore the generates of nuclear energy on 2023 in Malaysia
Why our country wants to generate the electricity by using nuclear energy?
To get the information about the implications of nuclear energy
What are the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear energy?
(c) Definition of terms -Besides the hydroelectric, the other source to generate the electric is by using nuclear energy which can generate more electricity than hydroelectric.

The authors, researchers about the relationship between oil and nuclear energy in the global energy scene over the past 50 years is analyzed. Oil is the main resources to generated electricity in whole world but since to the lack of oil resources and oil price shock, most country is now more to serious to using nuclear energy as their main electricity generator. Beside that, world also consider about affect towards nuclear energy .Current concerns associated with both energy sources and related technologies, including price volatility, supply
security, geopolitical sensitivity, depletion alarms, and environmental pollution issues for oil, economic performance, operational safety, proliferation, terrorism, radioactive waste disposal, and the resulting public acceptance for nuclear are examined as determinants of their future roles in the world energy balance. With the latest technology, world can run nuclear plant in safety way and this can trigger economy development for those country.
Public perception on nuclear energy is much influenced by subjective impressions mostly formed through sensational and dramatic news of mass media or anti-nuclear groups. However, nuclear experts, those who have more relevant knowledge and information about nuclear energy, may have reasonable opinion based on scientific facts or inferences. Thus their opinion and consensus should be examined and taken into account during the process of nuclear energy policy formulation. For the purpose of eliciting experts' opinion, the web-based on-line survey system (eBOSS) was developed. Using the survey system, experts' views on nuclear energy were tallied, analyzed and compared with the public's. Based on the survey results, the paper suggests some recommendations about the future direction of the public information program in Korea.
Ram, B. S. Ongkili: Consider nuclear option for power supply, (2009, June 30).New Street Times.
Science, Technology and Innovations minister Datuk Dr. Maximus Ongkili said with increasing global demand for clean and sustainable energy, nuclear energy is needed for electricity generation in Malaysia. Oil and coal-fired electricity was no longer a viable option. Thus, nuclear energy is a viable and proven energy source to sustain national socio-economic development. I choose this article because I think that this article is much related to our study. From this article, we can know that Malaysia is toward to developing a new resource for electricity in Malaysia. Thus, we can make survey to know if Manufacturing Engineering students and lecturer as a Malaysians agree with this current issue or not and to know their perceptions about using nuclear energy in Malaysia.
